This is an imaginary journey in time around Preston looking at the past and the present it is an Urban Archaeology all from the comfort of my armchair.

As we were in a state of lockdown I made my exploration by way of Google...typing in street names...parks...whatever came to mind...looking for photos both old and new...these images have been juxtaposed to produce digital collages creating a visual strata... palimpsests of time and place... creating a new dialogue each telling a different story about the cities rich history.
