About Jane Fox

Jane Fox is a ceramic artist based in Preston, Lancashire, where she runs her Pottery and Clay studio which she opened in 2006. As customers to her studio admired her own work this lead to her accepting bespoke hand painted ceramic commissions. This now plays a major part in the business and has become well know locally for it.

The commissions take the form of hand painted designs on to slip cast shapes, such as kitchen tile freezes or special occasion personalised gifts. Other commissions are created by hand with built clay techniques depending on the clients requirements.

Prestoning 12 Year Plan

This was created after being awarded a micro commission through Curious Minds to represent part of the Preston Model 12 year art strategy.

Each wing of the windmill represents one thought or plans for the strategy with the concrete ideas stamped into the top side of each one. Different materials were used to create texture on the piece to be all inclusive of the entire community of art, artists and residents in the community.
